Slack is a cloud-based team communications/collaboration platform. The freemium software comes with an integration capability that works with thousands of apps, as well as an API that allows users to create their own integrations. Features of a custom app include: incoming webhooks, interactive components, slash commands, event subscriptions, bots, and permissions.

Member information lookup tool that returns relevant values (email, phone number, role) when the user requests it by typing a slash command on the Slack interface.

I learned a whole lot about how the internet works through watching hours of videos on HTTP, POST/GET requests, and servers. Although I am not a developer, I enjoy thinking methodically and logically about the workflow, which is transferable to other design processes.
